Change Of Address…

Hey Guys, hope all is well…

Sorry I as unable to give you guys a workout video this week, I’m having some technical difficulties with my laptop, I woke up early Monday morning ready to start uploading when it just decided not to work, tried doing it on the WordPress App on Blackberry, but that was another disaster… nothing seemed to be working, so I am here, sitting in an internet cafe… #NotCool, but don’t worry, I’ll be back on the ball in no time.

I also wanted to let you know that I have also changed the blog address… it is no longer naaadoley.wordpress.com, but rather encourageelevatebe.wordpress.com. I had been dealing with some battles and distress recently which my the Grace of God I was able to overcome, and due to this I decided it was time to give myself a new identity a new mantra in life, and that’s what I came up with. So tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a friend, I’m still here, just TRANSFORMED!!

God Bless

Guys, This One Is For You…

I was catching up with one of my favourite blogs and came across an entry called ‘Dating A Lady From The Metropolitan’. I was actually kinda intrigued when I saw it because it fit in so well with the festivities of this year. From January until now, I have heard and witnessed so many marriages and babies being born that one can sometimes feel left behind. This article stood out to me because, even though us woman get brody over these occasions, wish ourselves the same thing and in some occasions start hinting to our significant others, we forget that it actually does take two and we kind of disregard the ‘man’ in the equation. We somethings think that we are the only ones that want anything out of a relationship, we forget that sometimes, just sometimes, the guys go through this as well.

Well guys, here’s an excerpt from the article…

“…when you’re out with the boys you can be as flashy and outlandish as you like. However when you are out on a date it is important to have some reverence and class. Here are a few tips to get you through the night:

Women tend to care less about what you are wearing on the first date; they are probably more interested in getting to know you. Nevertheless, you still have to look good…” – Eraux-Jasique

The article addresses factors from a fashion perspective which will help you feel confident within yourself when approaching a female you like and when you’re going for that dreaded first date. Read the rest of the article at:

See You On Sunday…

Apparently the world is going to end today (Saturday)… Well, I’ll see you guys on church on Sunday..

God Bless xxx

I was gonna leave it there, but I can’t contain myself, LMAO… The world is not ending on 21st May 2011. This is some theory a church in America derived. Christians out of people should know that no one knows when the rapture will be. Why are people always trying to break down the Bible, word for word, trying to figure it out. Do you know that your WORLDLY WISDOM will not even give you a fraction of the intelligence you need to understand God’s PLANS.

This theory was derived from what God told Noah when he was sending the flood. In the word, God told Noah he had 7 days to get his family and the animals into the ark for safety. Well according to these Americans, LOL, it meant God was “declaring that sinful mankind would have 7000 years to find refuge in the salvation provided by Jesus Christ“. Why 7000 years you ask, well that’s because in 2Peter 3:8, God said “one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day“, so that meant, the 7 days God declared to Noah, really meant us humans had 7000 years to get our act together before the second coming. OK. And now, in 2011 our time is up.

Sorry, I read this article and laughed… God’s word can not be understood my adding and subtracting, He does not speak in riddles, in speaks in TRUTH, when He decides to come, trust me, you will no way be expecting it.

Please, have a look at this article and let me know your views – (http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/outreach/tracts/may21/)

I’m Not Attractive…

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

Hey guys, hope all is well..

Just wanted to share a quick message with you in regards to some nonsense I been hear this week. In the papers an LSE lecturer claiming ‘black women are less ATTRACTIVE than White and Asian women’ – my friend, dont make me laugh. When I first heard it I was like ‘WHATEVER’, but as I contiued to read the article, I just had to take notice of his reasoning, he claims it is because ‘black women are found to have more TESTOSTERONE in their system conpared to the other counterparts, which makes them appear to have MASCULINE’ – excuse me, is this guy for real, have you not seen my MUM…!!!

This lecturer guy, based his theory on a sample he used, within the university, where he asked students to compare and identify which one person they referred over another. NUMBER ONE – My friend, is sample was NOT accurate, everyone who has studied psychology knows that when sampling a population, your sample has to be relative to the male:female ratio, it has to be relative to the race ratio, it has to mimick like for like (on a smaller scale) the entire population, if you want to make generalisations about the world, you need to REPRESENT the world mate. You can not use random selection in research of this scale… Sorry mate… #PsychologyAlevel

NUMBER TWO – the lecturer himself is of Asian descent, erm… I’m not trying to be funny but I can sense some cultural bias here. He want on to highlight that ‘black woman were heavier than the others‘, it’s funny how the characteristics which made us less attractive where the opposite of what a stereotypical Asian woman would look like… #I’mJustSaying. I’m not even going to test this guy, because even though I have an A Level in PSYCHOLOGY, I do not have any research to oppose what is said about testosterone, but I will say this…

THERE IS NO STANDARD CODE FOR BEAUTY
It lies in the eyes of the person viewing. In society today, the media try to condition our minds with what they consider to be ‘beautiful’, and this has caused young people, and men in our generation to doubt the way they look, it’s causing so many insecurities in our world, and it’s heart breaking because people are ruining their appearances and some dying, in order to fit a code some guy sitting in an office SOMEWHERE has drawn up based on his likes and dislikes.  Young ladies (and men) do not be FOOLED, know that you are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made. Understand that for someone to be attracted to you, they have to see the qualities which YOU hold, that others don’t. If it was a situation where we were striving for a certain look, we would all be generalised and have no uniqueness about our individual being. I’m not saying that I do not, or did not have insecurities, but I have come to the understanding that there is a reason why I do not look like my peers, there is a reason why we do not fancy the same guys, there’s a reason why we like different things, and that’s because we are all INDIVIDUALS. I refuse to believe that I am less attractive than a White or Asian female because I am a black girl of African descent, it’s bollocks mate, sorry, but #I’mJustSaying.

Let me leave it here…

Bless

Girl, If You Think You Are, You Are…

Sister, Sister…

Who remembers that show, I loved it as a child. I remember these twins going through life, having all these experiences and having each other to share it with. But funny enough, we still go through the same things that we see people going through on TV, but it seems that our communication and learning from each other has decreased. I remember back in the day there was always someone older and wiser to talk to, confide in and learn from, but when I look at my young cousins and friends it’s like who do they look upon for normal life changing lessons….

Well maybe, I have something that can help those who are in search of this need, now we have a place where women of all ages, race and backgrounds can come and be unified, learned and grow… Welcome Sister 2 Sister… Here’s a little bit about them…

What is sister2sister all about?

Her hair and clothes told a story. A sad life had reached its final day. She was both solemn and quiet however far within the depths of her shaken mind reeled the words she wished she could tell… tell someone who had still the gift of many days… the words; “learn from the women around you, don’t just live for the laughs and play cus these often fade away”

Sister2Sister was birthed through a lot of prayer and listening for what God wanted for us as a group of Christian women at the Hub. Its easy to simply go with the flow. We are not called to simply laugh and play together without recognising that our lives are linked together in a deeper ways. Thank you for recognising this greater purpose.
